Karnataka: BN Chandrappa appoints state Congress working president

Karnataka Election: Congress has made a big change in the organization before the assembly elections in Karnataka. The party has appointed BN Chandrappa as the working president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.

Earlier on Saturday too, the Congress party had appointed SP Sudham Das as the co-chairman of the campaign committee of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee. The Congress party has issued a press statement about this. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has given his nod to the name of HP Sudham Das as co-president.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was supposed to hold a rally in Kolar today i.e. April 9. But, Rahul Gandhi’s rally to be held in Kolar district has been postponed. Karnataka Congress state president DK Shivakumar informed about the cancellation of Rahul Gandhi’s rally. The reason for delaying Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kolar is the nomination of candidates for the election.

According to the news, Rahul Gandhi’s program was earlier to be held on April 5. But, Congress changed this date to April 9. Because, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to visit Karnataka on this day.
