Srinagar: On Monday, Pilgrims going to Badrinath and Kedarnath have been stopped at Srinagar Garhwal due to continuous heavy rains in Uttarakhand and snowfall in Badrinath and Kedarnath.

Srinagar: On Monday, Pilgrims going to Badrinath and Kedarnath have been stopped at Srinagar Garhwal due to continuous heavy rains in Uttarakhand and snowfall in Badrinath and Kedarnath.

Pauri SSP Shweta Choubey said, pilgrims going to Badrinath and Kedarnath have been stopped at Srinagar Garhwal due to continuous snowfall and heavy rains in Badrinath and Kedarnath. Travelers are requested to stay in Srinagar till the weather clears.

An orange alert has been issued in Uttarakhand by the Meteorological Department. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy snowfall and rain in Kedarnath and Badrinath here. According to meteorologists, the weather will be bad from May 1 to May 4.

On Monday too, Kedarnath Dham received heavy snowfall due to which the cold has increased here. At the same time, travelers have already been stopped in Srinagar due to the fear of road closure due to snow. Passengers are continuously being requested not to proceed till the weather improves.

Chardham Yatra is being conducted in Uttarakhand. But due to the deterioration of the weather, the passengers are facing huge problems. Heavy rains are causing difficulties in the journey. Due to snowfall in Badrinath and Kedarnath, the administration is on alert mode.

Travelers are being advised to travel only after checking the weather. Passengers are being prevented from going further due to heavy rain. It is getting cold in Dham due to rain and snow. It is raining continuously in the Yamuna valley including Gangotri and Yamunotri. It is also snowing at high altitudes.

Let us tell you, the doors of Kedaranath Dham were opened on April 25. At the same time, the doors of Badrinath Dham were opened on April 27. Since then, there has been intermittent rain and snowfall, increasing the risk of landslides. It has been said on behalf of the administration that adequate arrangements have been made for the accommodation of passengers in Srinagar. Passengers will not face any problem here.
