Kerala: On Tuesday, A 45-year-old man tried to commit suicide in Kollam district of Kerala after slit the throats of his wife and daughter. After committing suicide, official said that the accused is said to be in a critical condition and has been admitted to a hospital.
Official added that the accused was identified as Sreeju. Official said that Sreeju from Poothakkulam is suspected to have poisoned them before slitting their throats. On Tuesday morning, his wife Preetha (39) and Sreenanda (12) were found dead in their house .
Paravur police said Sreeju tried to kill his elder son Sreerag (17) and later himself, but both were found in critical condition.Financial problems are suspected to be the reason behind the murder and suicide attempt, a police officer said.
He also said that Sreeju is a mason by profession. He aaded,”Both the man and his son are undergoing treatment. The son has been admitted to a nearby hospital and the man has been rushed to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.”
