Linda Yaccarino becomes Twitter’s new CEO, Elon Musk confirms

New Delhi: Twitter owner Elon Musk announced the name of Twitter’s new CEO. Elon Musk tweeted, “I look forward to welcoming Linda Yaccarino as Twitter’s new CEO.” Linda will primarily focus on business operations, while I will focus on product design and new technology. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform the platform into an all-things app ‘X’. Now its confirmed.

Linda Yacarino attended Penn State University from 1981 to 1985. He majored in Liberal Arts and Telecommunications. She has been working with NBC Universal since 2011. Yacarino also worked for the Turner Company for 19 years. Linda is currently the Chair of Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBC Universal.

Musk said in a tweet that Linda would focus primarily on business operations, while he would focus on product design and new technology. After Linda takes over, Musk will take over as Twitter’s executive chairman and chief technology officer. About 2,000 employees currently work under Linda’s supervision. This number is equal to the current staff of Twitter.

According to Linda’s profile, her team at NBC Universal generates more than $100 billion in annual revenue through advertising sales and partnerships. Linda’s team has partnered with giants like Apple, Snapchat, BuzzFeed, Twitter and YouTube. Musk acquired Twitter last year for $44 billion.
