As Lok Sabha elections 2024 approach, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday traveled on Delhi Metro to connect with everyday citizens. In a picture viral on social media, Gandhi was seen interacting with the passengers.

During his metro ride to a rally in Mangolpuri, Gandhi was accompanied by Kanhaiya Kumar, the Congress candidate for the North East Delhi Lok Sabha seat. Today marks the final day of campaigning, with Delhi set to vote on May 25. The election results will be announced on June 4.

Rahul Gandhi Emphasizes the Fight to Protect the Constitution

Speaking at an election rally in Dilshad Garden, northeast Delhi, Gandhi accused the BJP of attempting to undermine the Constitution. He emphasized that the Lok Sabha elections are a critical battle to safeguard it.

“The BJP has always sought to change the Constitution,” Gandhi stated, asserting that the current elections are a fight to preserve the ideological heritage of Gandhi, Ambedkar, and Nehru. He warned that any attempt by the BJP to alter the Constitution would face fierce resistance from both political opponents and millions of Indian citizens.

Delhi Voting and Election Results

All seven seats in Delhi will hold elections on May 25, with the results set to be announced on June 4. The final day of campaigning has seen heightened efforts from all parties to win voter support.
