New Delhi: The Lok Sabha proceedings have resumed after the massive security breach, leading to chaos and a brief adjournment. The Speaker Om Birla has assured probe into the incident and said the parliamentarians that the functioning of the House can’t be stopped ever.
A significant security breach occurred in the Lok Sabha on the anniversary of the Parliament attack, when two persons jumped from the visitors’ gallery and released a substance that produced smoke. The pair, identified as Neelam, a 42-year-old woman from Haryana, and Amol Shinde, a 25-year-old man from Maharashtra, were immediately apprehended and will be jointly interrogated.
There was an unexpected incursion during the winter session on 13 December, due to which the Lok Sabha had to be immediately adjourned till 2 pm.
