LS Elections 2024: AAP campaign song gets approval by EC

New Delhi: An Officials said that Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) campaign song for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 has approved by the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer’s after the party made changes to it. AAP MLA Dilip Pandey, who wrote and voiced the song, confirmed that the song has been approved.

On April 28, The party had claimed that the Election Commission had banned its campaign song “Jail ka jawaab vote se denge”. However, Delhi poll body officials had said that the AAP was asked to change the content of the song as it violated the EC guidelines and advertising codes.

The party re-sent its proposal to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) after making the amendments, following which the song was approved, an official said. The song was released last month.

On social media platform X, Pandey said in a post in Hindi, “Truth can be troubled, not defeated! “Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se Denge” is not just a campaign song of AAP but it is the essence of the sentiment going on in the minds of the common people of the country.

He also said that that is why, in the end, truth prevailed and the Election Commission approved the use of the campaign song in the elections. Satyameva Jayate!”
