Saint Kanak Bihari Maharaj and one of his disciple Vishram Raghuvanshi died in a road accident on Sagar-Narsinghpur National Highway-44 on Monday morning. His driver Rooplal was seriously injured in the accident. The saint had left for Chhindwara from Ashoknagar in his vehicle. Meanwhile, in an attempt to save a two-wheeler near village Sagri, his SUV collided with the car divider and overturned.
After Maharaj’s death, many leaders including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief by tweeting. Suatla police station in-charge Jyoti Dixit told that the driver Rooplal, who was injured in the accident, was first sent to Kareli Hospital. Then seeing the serious condition, he was referred to the district hospital from there. The people of Raghuvanshi community had special faith in Sant Kanak Bihari Maharaj. As soon as the information about the incident came, the people of Raghuvanshi community started reaching Barman. Maharaj’s last rites will be held on Tuesday evening.
Barman outpost in-charge Sanjay Suryavanshi told that Sant Kanak Bihari and Vishram Raghuvanshi had died on the spot. His driver has been admitted to the hospital.
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath expressed grief
Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath expressed grief after the death of Mahant Kanak Bihari Das Maharaj in a road accident. Kamal Nath tweeted and said – Received the sad news of the supremely revered Saint Yagya Samrat Sri Sri 1008 Sri Kanak Bihari Maharaj passing away in a road accident.
