Maharashtra: BJP MLA Rajendra Patni passes away at the age of 59

Maharashtra: On Friday, BJP MLA Rajendra Patni passed away today. He was 59 years old. Patni, who was ill for a long time, breathed his last today. Rajendra Patni was representing Karanja constituency in Washim district in the Legislative Assembly. Before that, he also worked as an MLA of Vidhan Parishad.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has paid tribute to MLA Rajendra Patni. My colleague Rajendra Patniji in the Legislative Assembly passed away today. He was battling illness for the past few months. We all hoped that they would come out of this crisis. But today he lost his life. BJP has lost a representative who knows about rural issues.

He added that he always had the initiative to solve the problems of West Vidarbha. He was constantly insistent that the irrigation problem should be resolved. His death is my personal loss. I pay my heartfelt tribute to him. We share the grief of his family on this sad occasion. Devendra Fadnavis has expressed his feelings in these words, I pray to God that the family members get the strength to bear this suffering.

Rajendra Patni was first elected to the Legislative Council in 1997. Then in 2004 he was elected from Karanja constituency. After that, he had won from this constituency in 2014 and 2019 as well.
