New Delhi: Manchester City made history late on Sunday night at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. Rodri 68th-minute goal helped Manchester City beat three-time champions Inter Milan in the final of the Champions League to win their first title.

With this, Manchester City also established its supremacy in Europe by winning the triple title in one season. The team had already established itself in England by winning the EPL and the FA Cup, but Manchester City, who were still deprived of the Champions League, won this time. Under the leadership of coach Pep Guardiola, the team won the Champions League trophy for the first time.

Manchester City, who reached the final after defeating 14-time champions Real Madrid in the semi-finals, also played brilliantly in the final. Despite a goalless first half, Manchester City continued to attack. He got the benefit of this in the form of Rodri’s goal.

At the same time, Inter Milan, who reached the final by becoming the underdog of the tournament, also performed brilliantly in the final. Entering the final with a defensive style, Inter did not give City any chances in the first half, but City’s strikers, who continued to attack, converted the first chance they got to win the match.

However, at the end of the match, Inter Milan started attacking by abandoning the defensive game, but could not score. In the 88th minute, goalkeeper Ederson kept City alive in the match by denying Lukaku’s brilliant effort.
