Manohar Joshi’s life dedicated to public service
Joshi was born in Raigad district of Maharashtra in a Brahmin family in 1937. He received his Master of Arts and LLB degrees from Mumbai University. Manohar Joshi’s political career was nothing special. A trusted confidant of Shiv Sena’s founder, Balasaheb Thackeray, Joshi played a key role in steering the party during turbulent times. His tenure as Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999 was marked by significant development projects that propelled the state into a new era of development and prosperity.
