In Dwarka, PM Modi kickstarts his day by offering prayers at the Beyt Dwarka temple and the Dwarkadhish temple. The highlight of the day is the inauguration of the Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge, famously known as ‘Sudarshan Setu.’ Costing ₹978 crore, the 2.5-kilometer cable-stayed bridge is a manifestation of Modi’s vision and features a unique design with verses from the Bhagavad Gita on its footpath. The bridge also incorporates solar panels generating one megawatt of electricity.

AIIMS Inauguration: Boosting Healthcare Infrastructure

PM Modi’s schedule includes dedicating Gujarat’s first All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) during a roadshow from the old airport to Rajkot, where a public rally is planned. Virtually, he will also inaugurate four other AIIMS in Bathinda, Rae Bareli, Kalyani, and Mangalagiri. The event includes laying the foundation stone for over 200 healthcare infrastructure projects valued at ₹11,500 crore across 23 states and union territories. Additionally, 115 projects under the National Health Mission and Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) will be inaugurated.

Multi-Billion Development Projects: Transforming Gujarat’s Landscape

Around 1 pm, in Dwarka, PM Modi dedicates and lays the foundation stone for development projects exceeding ₹4150 crore. Later, at 4:30 pm, he inaugurates projects surpassing ₹48,100 crore at the Race Course ground in Rajkot. The projects span diverse sectors, including power generation in Kutch, groundbreaking for the Mundra Panipat crude-oil pipeline project, a new cardiology hospital in Vadodara, and the doubling of the Rajkot-Surendranagar railway line.

In the evening, PM Modi dedicates 21 projects of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) valued at around ₹2,280 crore. These initiatives mark a significant step towards bolstering healthcare, infrastructure, and connectivity in Gujarat and beyond.
