Mussavir Hussain Shazib, who placed the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe, and Abdul Matheen Taha, the mastermind behind the planning and execution of the blast, were both apprehended. They hail from Thirthahalli in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka.

Last week, the investigative agency identified Mussavir Hussain Shazib as the primary perpetrator of the blast, with Abdul Matheen Taahaa as his co-conspirator.

In addition, Muzammil Shareef from Khalsa, Chikkamagaluru, was arrested on March 26 for providing logistical support to the main accused. He was interrogated while in police custody.

As part of the efforts to locate and apprehend the absconding suspects, the NIA conducted searches at 18 locations across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.

The explosion occurred on March 1 at the popular dining spot on ITPL Road, Brookefield, Bengaluru, injuring numerous people.

On March 29, the NIA announced rewards of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of each absconder.

The agency has been summoning and questioning acquaintances, including friends from college and school, of both absconding and arrested suspects to gather evidence and information.

Due to the nature of the incident, revealing the identities of witnesses may endanger them and hinder the investigation. The NIA emphasized the importance of verified information to ensure an effective investigation.

The agency sought the cooperation of all individuals in apprehending the absconding suspects.
