Operation Ajay: 6th chartered flight with 143 passengers, including 2 Nepalese, arrives in New Delhi

New Delhi: 143 citizens returned to India on Sunday night in a special flight as part of 'Operation Ajeya' amid Israel-Hamas conflict. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi posted on X. The evacuees, who returned by the Indian aircraft, included two Nepalese citizens.

New Delhi: 143 citizens returned to India on Sunday night in a special flight as part of ‘Operation Ajeya’ amid Israel-Hamas conflict. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi posted on X. The evacuees, who returned by the Indian aircraft, included two Nepalese citizens.

The sixth flight of ‘Operation Ajay’ landed at New Delhi Airport. Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste welcomed the passengers at the airport. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi worte on X,”6th #OperationAjay flight lands in New Delhi. 143 passengers, including 2 Nepalese citizens arrived onboard the flight. Welcomed by MoS @SteelMinIndia & @MoRD_GoI @fskulaste at the airport.”

The sixth flight carrying Indian nationals departed from Tel Aviv for Delhi on Sunday evening. Earlier, the fifth flight carrying 286 Indians including 18 citizens of Nepal reached New Delhi late on Tuesday night.

On October 12, ‘Operation Invincible’ was launched for the return of Indians from Israel after Hamas terrorists attacked Israeli cities on October 7. So far more than 1300 people have returned to India under ‘Operation Ajeya’. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said the central government was assessing the situation in Israel amid the ongoing war with Hamas. He refuted any reports of Indian casualties in Gaza, adding, however, that one Indian national was injured in the attacks.

He further said,”I thankfully have not received any reports of any casualty…one Indian national had been injured and is receiving medical care, and I understand her condition is now stable.” The bodies of four Nepali students killed in Israel have been brought to Kathmandu. 10 students of Nepal were killed in the attack by Hamas. Six bodies have not been identified.
