Over 5 lakh Devotees Converge at Ram Temple in Ayodhya; CM Yogi Urges Continued Patience

In the wake of the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, nearly five lakh devotees thronged to the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir for a glimpse of the deity. The temple doors, opened at 6 am, saw the last entry of visitors at 10 pm, marking a day of fervent devotion and spiritual significance.

Appeal for Cooperation and Patience:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged the public to cooperate with officials and maintain patience for a smooth darshan experience. Authorities, under the Chief Minister’s directives, deployed magistrates across eight locations in Ayodhya to manage the crowds effectively.

Challenges in Crowd Management:

Despite efforts, crowds broke through barricades in the morning, leading to brief stampede-like situations. Prompt action by police and officials ensured control, redirecting devotees into orderly queues for a peaceful ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla.

CM Yogi’s Oversight and Aerial Survey:

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally inspected the arrangements at the Ram temple, conducting an aerial survey of the premises. In a post on ‘X,’ he emphasized the need for smooth darshan and discussed arrangements with temple trust officials.

Temporary Suspension on Ayodhya-bound Vehicles:

In response to the overwhelming turnout, Ayodhya authorities swiftly imposed a temporary ban on all incoming vehicles, aiming to control the influx and ensure the safety of pilgrims and sanctity of the temple. Online bookings for Ayodhya-bound vehicles were canceled, with assurances of swift refunds for bus fares, reflecting the commitment to managing the surge responsibly.
