In a shocking incident aboard the Barauni-Lucknow Express (15203), a video capturing a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) brutally assaulting a passenger has gone viral on social media. The victim, repeatedly slapped by the TTE, can be heard questioning the reason for the attack.
Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw responded swiftly, expressing “zero tolerance for such misconduct.” The incident, which occurred on Thursday, led to the suspension of the TTE, as confirmed by the Railway Minister.

In the video, the TTE is seen forcibly pulling the passenger’s muffler, verbally abusing him, and demanding he stand up. The passenger, bewildered by the assault, continually asks, “mera koi galti hai, sir (what is my mistake, sir).”

The Divisional Railway Manager, Lucknow Division, North Eastern Railway (DRM/LJN), via an official tweet, confirmed the suspension of the TTE. The tweet stated, “The concerned TTE has been suspended by the competent authority, and an inquiry has been initiated against the concerned.”
