PM Modi reaches Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka, went on 20-Km long jungle safari

Bangalore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today enjoyed a 20 km jeep safari in Karnataka’s Bandipur Tiger Reserve. In a short while, on the occasion of completion of 50 years of ‘Project Tiger’, the latest figures regarding the population of tigers in the country will be released in Mysore. The Prime Minister will also present the government’s vision for tiger conservation during the ‘Amrit Kaal’. He will also launch the International Big Cats Alliance (IBCA).

Regarding this, the Prime Minister’s Office has also shared a picture on Twitter, in which PM Modi is seen in a very special look.

In this picture, Prime Minister Modi is seen in a printed T-shirt with khaki paint. He is also wearing a black cap and black shoes. With this, PM Modi is seen carrying a half jacket in his hand. According to PM Modi’s itinerary released by the Prime Minister’s Office, he will visit Bandipur Tiger Reserve on Sunday morning and then release the tiger count figures around 11 am.

During this, the Prime Minister will release the ‘Vision of Amrit Kaal for Tiger Conservation’ and will also launch the ‘International Big Cats Alliance’ (IBCA). IBCA includes countries where seven animals of the ‘marjar’ species are found – tiger, lion, leopard, snow leopard, puma, jaguar and cheetah. This organization will focus on the conservation and protection of these animals.

During this, the Prime Minister will also interact with the field directors of the tiger reserves, who have scored highly in the fifth cycle of the recently concluded Management Effectiveness Assessment exercise. After this, he will also visit Theppakadu Elephant Camp in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, Tamil Nadu bordering Chamarajanagar district and interact with the mahouts of the elephant camp.

Tight security arrangements have been made in Mysuru in view of the Prime Minister’s visit. The district administration has banned tourists in the tiger reserve from April 6 to April 9. Apart from this, the authorities have also stopped the movement of vehicles on National Highway 181.
