In the political landscape, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, after announcing an alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal for the Lok Sabha polls, emphasized the need for a strong “I.N.D.I.A alliance” with Congress. Seat-sharing discussions between Congress and the Samajwadi Party are underway, with a focus on winnability as the criterion for deciding on seats.

As the Lok Sabha elections loom, set to take place between April and May, political maneuvering and alliance-building continue to shape the electoral landscape in Uttar Pradesh.
