New Delhi : At the launch of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled plans to enhance the country’s bullet train services. He pledged to introduce three new train corridors connecting North, South, and East India, with survey work set to commence soon.
In addition to the bullet train corridors, PM Modi announced the expansion of Vande Bharat trains to various corners of the nation. He highlighted the introduction of three models of Vande Bharat trains: Vande Bharat Sleeper, Vande Bharat Chaircar, and Vande Bharat Metro.
The release of the BJP’s manifesto, coinciding with the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, symbolizes the party’s commitment to inclusive development. PM Modi emphasized the manifesto’s focus on ‘Viksit Bharat,’ promising to continue the free ration scheme for the next five years.
Meanwhile, the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) announced plans to install advanced wind speed monitoring systems along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. These systems, strategically placed at 14 locations across Maharashtra and Gujarat, aim to enhance safety measures by providing real-time wind speed data.
The installation of anemometers, capable of monitoring wind speeds up to 252 kilometers per hour, underscores NHSRCL’s commitment to passenger safety. Adjustments to train speeds will be made in response to wind speeds between 72 and 130 kilometers per hour, ensuring a secure travel experience for passengers.
