Omkareshwar:Spiritual world ‘Ekatmdham’ is expanding on Omkar mountain located at Omkareshwar in Khandwa. Here it is being established on 28 acres of land by cutting Omkar Parvat. There will be a 108 feet tall grand statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. For this, the base pillar of 54 feet is to be prepared. Work is being done for the installation of 108 feet statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya’s childhood on a 52 feet high base. 50% work of the base pillar to be built in four slabs has been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil this tallest statue of the state in September this year. The work on the remaining part of this place, to be built with a budget of about Rs 2,000 crore, will be completed by December 2024.
‘Ekatmdham’ i.e. the statue of unity will be installed on Omkar mountain. It has been named ‘Statue of Oneness’. There will be a forest vihar of 35 thousand trees including training and information center, Abhay Ghat, sannyas and cave temple. Wonderful creations like Om Stambh, art, exhibition along with Annapurna Temple, Panchayat Temple will be expanded.
Ekatmdham will also have a museum complex with a statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. It will be in line with the traditional temple architectural style. The museum will have a 3D hologram projection gallery, artefacts, screen theater and a virtual boat ride named ‘Advaita Narmada Vihar’. In this, people will be able to enjoy the great teachings of Acharya Shankar through an audio-visual journey.
CM Shivraj told that this idea came during Narmada Seva Yatra in 2017. It was here in Omkareshwar that the idea took birth, where Adi Guru Shankaracharya was initiated at the age of 8. After getting knowledge from here, went on a tour of India. The imagination that came to mind regarding Shankaracharya is now taking a concrete form. The Chief Minister said that there is a great man who can protect Sanatan and unite India culturally, then it is Shankaracharya. It is because of them that the country is in this form today.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed Shayan Aarti at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga on Friday. The Chief Minister said that our concern is that there is paucity of space in the Omkareshwar temple. There are definitely limited possibilities here, but with the grace of Omkareshwar Maharaj, it will be given a better shape.
