PM Modi’s Two-Day Tour to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra Commences Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a comprehensive two-day tour across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, starting today. The visit will entail a series of inaugurations, reviews, and launches aimed at bolstering various sectors and promoting regional development .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit kicks off with a focus on India’s space capabilities. At the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, projects worth Rs 1800 crore will be unveiled. Among them are the PSLV Integration Facility (PIF) and the Semi-cryogenics Integrated Engine and Stage Test Facility, designed to bolster satellite launches and enhance the country’s space prowess.

Reviewing Gaganyaan Mission in Kerala

PM Modi will also review the progress of the Gaganyaan Mission, India’s ambitious human spaceflight program. In a symbolic gesture, he will confer ‘astronaut wings’ to designated astronauts, underscoring India’s strides in space exploration.

Supporting MSMEs in Tamil Nadu

Transitioning to Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister will engage in programs aimed at bolstering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the automotive sector. Initiatives like the TVS Open Mobility Platform and the TVS Mobility-CII Centre of Excellence will be launched, fostering growth and self-reliance among MSMEs.

Infrastructure Development in Thoothukudi

In Thoothukudi, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Outer Harbor Container Terminal at V.O.Chidambaranar Port. This move signifies a key step towards transforming the port into a transhipment hub. Moreover, projects aimed at establishing the port as India’s first Green Hydrogen Hub Port will be inaugurated.

Rail and Road Projects in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra

The Prime Minister’s tour includes dedicating rail projects for the doubling of lines and inaugurating road projects to improve connectivity and reduce travel time in Tamil Nadu. In Maharashtra, over Rs 4900 crore worth of development projects will be inaugurated, spanning irrigation, rail infrastructure, and road sector initiatives.

Empowering Farmers and Women SHGs

As part of his visit, PM Modi will distribute funds under various schemes such as PM-KISAN and Namo Shetkari MahaSanman Nidhi to benefit farmers in Maharashtra. Additionally, revolving funds will be disbursed to women Self Help Groups (SHGs), with the launch of welfare schemes like the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana for OBC beneficiaries.

Strengthening Road Infrastructure and Honouring Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, the focus shifts to road projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and socio-economic development. The Prime Minister will unveil the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay in Yavatmal city, symbolizing a commitment to honoring national icons and their contributions.
