PM Narendra Modi and Pawan Kalyan Share Stage in Telangana Ahead of Assembly Election

In a significant political move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actor-politician Pawan Kalyan shared the stage on Tuesday in Telangana, a state where the BJP aims to expand its influence. The BJP has allocated eight seats to Pawan Kalyan’s Jan Sena Party, especially capitalizing on the actor’s substantial fan base in the region. Telugu Desam Party, led by Chandrababu Naidu, will not be contesting in this election, creating an interesting dynamic in the political landscape.

While Pawan Kalyan’s Jan Sena Party has not yet made a significant impact in previous elections, the BJP hopes to gain momentum by leveraging the actor’s popularity among the masses. The BJP’s electoral prospects in Telangana have faced challenges due to internal party decisions, including the replacement of the state chief Bandi Sanjay and the handling of the alleged liquor scam involving K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha.

During the joint rally, Pawan Kalyan expressed his admiration for PM Modi’s firm stance on national security and decision-making devoid of mere electoral calculations. He highlighted how crucial decisions, such as the revocation of Article 370, the ban on triple talaq, and the construction of the Ram Mandir, were made under Modi’s leadership, emphasizing the importance of development and internal security for the nation.

Telangana is set to vote on November 30, with the counting scheduled for December 3, coinciding with vote-counting in four other states: Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram. The alliance between Pawan Kalyan’s Jan Sena Party and the BJP adds an intriguing dimension to the upcoming Telangana Assembly Election.
