New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the closing ceremony of the Saurashtra Tamil Sangam Today. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information. The PMO said in a statement that PM Modi will address the event through video conference at 10.30 am.
The PMO said that the launch of the program is rooted in the Prime Minister’s vision of promoting the spirit of One India – Shrestha Bharat, which helps bring out and rediscover the age-old ties between people in different parts of the country. is
The statement said that Kashi Tamil Sangamam was organized earlier keeping this thought in mind. At the same time, the Saurashtra Tamil Sangamum furthered this thinking by celebrating the shared culture and heritage between Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
According to PMO, a large number of people migrated from Saurashtra region to Tamil Nadu several centuries ago. In view of this, the Saurashtra Tamil Sangam has provided an opportunity to the Tamils of Saurashtra to reconnect with their roots.
More than 3,000 Tamils from Saurashtra have come to Somnath by a special train to participate in this 10-day Sangam. The program started on April 17 and its closing ceremony is being held on April 26 at Somnath.
