Rahul Gandhi will resume his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ from Aurangabad in Bihar

New Delhi: The second phase of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Jharkhand, scheduled to commence on February 14, has been canceled. The yatra will now resume from Bihar’s Aurangabad on February 15. The cancellation in Jharkhand occurred as Rahul Gandhi had to rush to Delhi for a farmers’ agitation in the national capital, according to Congress leaders.

Yatra Resumes in Bihar

The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ will recommence in Aurangabad, Bihar, on February 15, as planned earlier. A public rally in Aurangabad is scheduled at 2:00 pm, featuring addresses by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.

Cancellations in Jharkhand

The yatra’s second phase in Jharkhand, set to re-enter through Garhwa district from Chhattisgarh, was canceled due to Rahul Gandhi’s sudden departure for the farmers’ agitation. The scheduled interaction with MGNREGA workers at Ranka in Garhwa district was conducted by senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh and other party leaders.

Rahul Gandhi’s Schedule

Gandhi, originally planning to stay in Jharkhand for two days in the second leg, had to leave for Delhi. Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur mentioned that Gandhi had already covered 650 km in Jharkhand during the first leg of the yatra in early February. The remaining 150 km yatra will be revisited once completed.

Successful Impact in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Congress leaders stated that the yatra has infused new energy among party workers and the people of Jharkhand. Despite the cancellations, the yatra has been considered successful in the state.
