Rahul Gandhi’s chopper inspected by EC’s flying squad officials in Tamil Nadu

Election Commission officials searched the helicopter of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. Police said that after the helicopter landed here, flying squad officials conducted a search. Rahul was going to his parliamentary constituency Wayanad in Kerala, where he is going to take part in several election campaigns including public rallies.

Nilgiris/Tamil Nadu: Displaying pre-poll vigil, the flying squad of the Election Commission of India (ECI) conducted a surprise inspection of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was on his way to the Nilgiris from Mysore for a campaign event when his helicopter came under investigation by the ECI flying squad. Upon landing in the Nilgiris, officials immediately began inspecting the aircraft.

Police said that after the helicopter landed here, flying squad officials conducted a search. Rahul was going to his parliamentary constituency Wayanad in Kerala, where he is going to take part in several election campaigns including public rallies.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi held a road show in Wayanad for the Lok Sabha election campaign. He is going to face CPI leader Annie Raja and BJP candidate Surendran in this constituency. Let us tell you that in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, Rahul Gandhi had contested from Amethi and Wayanad. He had to face defeat in Amethi. BJP candidate Smriti Irani defeated him on this seat by a margin of 55,120 votes.

The Congress leader is all set for poll campaign in southern states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala as the states will go to polls during first and second phase of elections respectively. Rahul Gandhi is contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Wayanad in Kerala.
