New Delhi: Gurmeet Singh Kooner, Congress candidate from Karanpur assembly seat of Rajasthan has passed away during treatment at the Delhi hospital. He was undergoing treatment at Delhi AIIMS. According to party sources, this information has come to light. He was 75-year-old.

75-year-old Gurmeet Singh Kooner, who was the sitting MLA from Karanpur, was admitted to Delhi AIIMS on November 12. After this incident, There is a wave of grief in Congress supporters from his demise. This incident which took place before the elections has also damaged the Congress.

According to the death certificate issued by the hospital, he died of sepsis with septic shock and renal disease. His death news has been confirmed by his sone Rupendra Singh Kooner. He was also suffering from hypertension. Now due to the death of Gurmeet Singh Kunnar, Polls to the 200-member Rajasthan assembly will be held on November 25 (Saturday).

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condoles his demise and said, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the demise of Karanpur MLA and former minister Shri Gurmeet Singh Kunnar. Despite being unwell for a long time, Shri Kunnar was always striving for development work in his area.”
