In a dramatic face-off near the Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan, a senior police officer was injured during a clash with two thieves accused of stealing gold from Kerala. The incident unfolded when a team of Kerala police, acting on information about the thieves hiding near the Dargah, confronted them.
Videos captured by locals depict a chaotic scene as the police and thieves engaged in a physical altercation in a narrow lane. The two accused, identified as Shahzad and Sajid, had reportedly fired three rounds at the police during the confrontation.
The Kerala police, in collaboration with the local authorities, conducted a three-hour search operation and located the thieves inside the crowded shrine. The ensuing police chase caused a stampede-like situation, allowing the thieves to take advantage of the chaos and escape temporarily.
In an attempt to evade arrest, one of the suspects fired three shots from a pistol. Despite a prolonged chase, the police eventually caught the two thieves, leading to a physical struggle. Videos show police officers throwing punches in an effort to subdue the resisting suspects.

The arrested individuals, Sajid and Shahzad, both residents of Uttarakhand’s Roorkee, have a history of multiple police cases filed against them in their home state. The incident sheds light on the challenges faced by law enforcement in apprehending criminals, especially in crowded and chaotic settings.
