New Delhi: Tony Jesudasan, chief executive officer of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group and one of the finest professionals in corporate communication matters, passed away in the early hours of Monday. He was 71 years old. Jesudasan is survived by wife Parul Sharma and daughter Preetika.
Much before he joined #Reliance #TonyJesudasan was a ‘journalism talent spotter’ at @USAndIndia in 70s and 80s.
Most of his ‘under 25 yr’ picks are now leading anchors, editors and media house owners.
He was close to a ChatGPT for Delhi power-play.

Sources said that earlier this month, Jesudasan suffered a heart attack on board a flight from Bhopal.
Later, on reaching Delhi, he was taken to Fortis Hospital, where he underwent angioplasty. After this he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Sources said that he passed away at around 5 am on Monday.
Jesudasan was the Group President of Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs at Reliance-ADAG. Jesudasan, also known as TJ, turned 71 while he was at the Fortis Hospital in the national capital. An MBA from FMS, Delhi, he was invited by Dhirubhai Ambani to join the then undivided Reliance in 1990.
After Dhirubhai’s death, when brothers Mukesh and Anil were separated, they decided to join the younger siblings. He remained Anil Ambani’s trusted lieutenant in Delhi and his chief troubleshooter. Jesudasan had the rare ability to think and act calmly under great pressure and had long-standing connections across the political spectrum, businessmen and the media.
