In a significant milestone leading up to the grand consecration ceremony on January 22, the idol of Lord Ram Lalla has been ceremoniously placed inside the ‘Grabh Grah’ or sanctum sanctorum of the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Crafted by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, the 51-inch black stone idol, portraying a five-year-old Lord Ram standing on a lotus, weighs between 150 kg to 200 kg and was veiled during the placement ceremony.

The images, shared by Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s media in-charge Sharad Sharma, capture the first glimpse of the veiled deity during the sacred ritual. The idol, steeped in tradition, will join the current Ram Lalla idol, worshipped for the past 70 years, within the sanctum sanctorum of the new temple.

Vedic Brahmins and revered Acharyas were witnessed leading worship ceremonies within the sacred precincts of the Sri Ram Temple, with participation from members of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra. The ‘pradhan sankalp,’ performed by trust member Anil Mishra, was dedicated to the welfare of the nation and humanity, as well as those contributing to the temple’s construction.

Revealing Lord Ram Lalla’s Idol, First Glimpse Inside Ayodhya. Preparations for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, are underway. The auspicious event will adhere to scriptural protocols, taking place in the ‘Abhijeet Muhurta’ in the afternoon. Over 400 saints and numerous renowned personalities from across the country are anticipated to gather for this historic consecration, offering a divine moment for all to witness Lord Ram Lalla’s presence.

As Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, holds profound spiritual, historical, and cultural significance, the anticipation builds for the divine spectacle scheduled for January 22nd.
