Russia-Ukraine war completes 500 days, till now 9 thousand people lost their lives.

Russia-Ukraine:The Russia-Ukraine war that started on 24 February 2022 has completed 500 days. The United Nations (UN) has objected to the deaths of civilians during this period. UN has told that in these 500 days, 9 thousand common citizens of Ukraine have died. These include 500 children. More than 15 thousand people have also been injured.

At the same time, 60 lakh people have had to leave their homes by July 2023 due to the war. In this, most 12,75315 people have gone to Russia. According to the report of the Kiev School of Economics, in these 500 days, the buildings and infrastructure of Ukraine have suffered a loss of Rs 11 lakh crore. IMF has said that it will take 10 years for Ukraine to recover from the effects of the war, for which Rs 33 lakh crore will have to be spent.

Russia regularly bombards Ukraine with airstrikes, including indiscriminate artillery and missile fire that have been particularly deadly. Attacks have also targeted infrastructure and supply lines, leaving civilians without electricity and water. The cities of Bucha and Mariupol became synonymous with Russian atrocities last year, when reports and images of the massacres there shocked the world. In Bucha, AFP reporters saw a street lined with corpses one after another in civilian clothes in April.

Satellite images later showed many bodies lying in the street since mid-March, when the city was under Russian control, while Ukrainian officials said hundreds were killed in Bucha by Moscow’s retreating forces.

According to Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, 231,700 Russian soldiers have died as of 5 July. According to the British Ministry of Defence, approximately 40,000 to 60,000 were killed in the first year of the war. According to the US Defense Intelligence Agency’s estimate leaked in April this year, 35,500 to 43,000 Russian people have been killed. At the same time, the number of people injured is 154,000 to 180,000.
