Samajwadi Party’s MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq passes away at 94 following prolonged illness

The veteran Samajwadi Party MP had been battling illness for an extended period and was receiving medical care at a hospital in Moradabad. He had a chest pain. Despite efforts to treat him, he breathed his last in the hospital today.

Samajwadi Party’s MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq passes away at 94 following prolonged illness

Lucknow: Esteemed leader of the Samajwadi Party and Lok Sabha MP representing Sambhal, Shafiqur Rahman Barq passed away on Tuesday, February 27 at the age of 94. Informing about Barq’s demise, the Samajwadi Party said, “The demise of senior Samajwadi Party leader and several-time MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq is extremely sad.”

The veteran Samajwadi Party MP had been battling illness for an extended period and was receiving medical care at a hospital in Moradabad. He had a chest pain. Despite efforts to treat him, he breathed his last in the hospital today.

Barq, who has been a four-time MLA, was elected MP from Sambhal for the fifth time in 2019.
