Varanasi: On Wednesday, A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a close associate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sunil Ojha passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gurugram. Many leaders including CM Yogi Adityanath have expressed grief over his death.
Ojha had played a significant role in the 2014 general election. In a post on social media site X, UP BJP unit president Bhupendra Singh Choudhary said, “Sunil Ojha, a hardworking leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, skilled organizer, former co-in-charge of Uttar Pradesh BJP and co-in-charge of Bihar BJP. Sudden death is very sad and heart breaking. Ojha’s demise is an irreparable loss to the BJP family. May the almighty God grant the departed pious soul a place at his feet and give strength to the bereaved family members and supporters to bear this immense pain. Om Shanti!.”
Ojha was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram when his health deteriorated and unfortunately he died in the hospital. CM Yogi said,” Death of senior BJP leader, former MLA, joint in-charge of Bihar BJP and former joint in-charge of Uttar Pradesh BJP, Sunil Bhai Ojha is very sad. We pray to Lord Ram to place the departed soul at His feet and grant strength to the bereaved family members to bear this immense pain. Om Shanti!.”
CM of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed condolences on his death and said,”Very sad news of death of Sunil Ojha, senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, skillful organizer and co-incharge of Bihar BJP. Your demise is an irreparable loss to the entire BJP family. May God rest the departed soul in Sricharan and grant strength to the bereaved family members to bear this immense pain. Om Shanti:.” Ojha had previously served as the coordinator of the Kashi region, and he was currently entrusted with the responsibility of being the Bihar in-charge for the BJP.
