Sharad Pawar Participates in ‘Namo Job Fair’ Despite Invitation Mishap

In a surprising turn of events, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founder Sharad Pawar attended the inauguration of the ‘Namo Rojgar Melava 2024’ in his stronghold, Baramati, alongside Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

Invite Controversy and Diplomatic Declines

Sharad Pawar’s presence marked the culmination of a series of events triggered by his initial exclusion from the list of invitees. Following the omission, Pawar extended an informal dinner invitation to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. While Shinde and Fadnavis diplomatically declined, citing busy schedules, Ajit Pawar’s response remained undisclosed.

Chief Minister Shinde, commenting on the declined invitation, stated, “We have a tight schedule (on Saturday) as after the Baramati event, we have to go to Ahmedabad. I told him (Sharad Pawar) that next time on my Baramati visit, I would visit him.” He added, “If someone comes close to your home, you are bound to invite him over.”

Formal Invitation and Political Participation

Sharad Pawar, a prominent figure in Baramati politics for decades, was formally invited to the job fair after opposition parties raised concerns. The event witnessed participation from state ministers Dilip Walse Patil, Uday Samant, and Baramati Lok Sabha MP, Sharad Pawar’s daughter, Supriya Sule.

The ‘Namo Rojgar Melava 2024’ in Baramati became a focal point of political dynamics, blending formalities with underlying political nuances. Sharad Pawar’s presence added a layer of significance to the event, emphasizing the intricate interplay of political relationships in Maharashtra.
