Shikhar Dhawan, the top scorer for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in this season’s Indian Premier League (IPL), will be sidelined for at least seven to ten days due to a shoulder injury. Dhawan, who has amassed 152 runs in five games, including a half-century, will miss the upcoming fixtures against Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans.

In the absence of Dhawan, Sam Curran, the star overseas all-rounder, took charge as the stand-in captain during PBKS’ recent match against Rajasthan Royals. Bangar expressed the significance of Dhawan’s experience and expertise, especially on challenging wickets, but stated that his return would depend on how he responds to treatment.
