Shivpal Yadav’s Election Slip: During a recent political rally in the Jaswant Nagar Legislative Assembly, Etawah, Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav committed a political faux pas by inadvertently urging voters to ensure a resounding victory for the BJP instead of his own party. The incident occurred amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, stirring a political storm and drawing attention from various quarters.
While addressing the gathering, Shivpal Yadav, the uncle of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, made a gaffe by encouraging voters to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to secure a significant victory margin. Despite being amidst a Samajwadi Party event, Yadav’s slip of the tongue led to an awkward moment, especially in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav.
Subsequently, Shivpal Yadav clarified that his statement was a mere slip of the tongue and emphasized the importance of listening to Akhilesh Yadav. He urged people to ensure a strong showing for the BJP on May 7, the date of the third phase of Lok Sabha elections.
In a subsequent statement, Shivpal Yadav also addressed the BJP’s alleged apprehension towards Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family, asserting that the more the BJP criticizes their family, the stronger the SP’s victory margin would be in the elections. Yadav’s remarks came amidst an increasingly charged political atmosphere, with both parties vying for dominance in the electoral arena.
Expressing confidence in the electoral outcomes, Shivpal Yadav predicted victories for candidates of the SP and its alliance bloc in all 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the third phase of the general elections. He attributed the lower voter turnout in the initial phases to differing voter behaviors and speculated about apprehension within the BJP camp due to their voter turnout challenges.
Shivpal Yadav also addressed recent remarks by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding his age and productivity, asserting his active participation in multiple daily meetings compared to his political adversaries.
