Mumbai: The police said that a 18-year-old boy committed suicide at Nalasopara after losing Rs 2 lakh in a cyber fraud incident while playing an online game. The police said that he accidentally clicked on an unsafe link, due to which fraudsters withdrew money from his account. After the loss, the victim committed suicide at home.
The incident, which occurred on March 30, prompted the filing of a case under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act at Azad Maidan police station.
