Tajinder Singh Bittu,Priyanka Gandhi aide and Congress Himachal Co-Incharge, resigns from party

Himachal Pradesh: On Saturday, The All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary in charge of Himachal Pradesh and a close aide of Priyanka Gandhi, Tajinder Singh Bittu resigned from the Congress Party's primary membership.

Himachal Pradesh: On Saturday, The All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary in charge of Himachal Pradesh and a close aide of Priyanka Gandhi, Tajinder Singh Bittu resigned from the Congress Party’s primary membership.

He wrote his resignation letter to the Congress party president Mallikarjun Kharge. In the letter, he said,“I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress and from my post-AICC, secretary Co-Incharge of Himachal Pradesh, effective immediately.”

Tejinder Singh Bittu, a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, has been serving the Congress party for the last several years. He was away from politics for a long time, but in 2017, when the Congress returned to power in Punjab, he was appointed the chairman of PUNSUP with this, he re-entered politics.

In a Facebook post he said,“With heavy heart, after 35 years, I resign from the Congress party.” Meanwhile, the first phase voting of the Lok Sabha election 2024 was held yesterday (April 19th). The voting was conducted in 102 constituencies across 21 states.
