Telangana: 37-year-old BRS legislator Lasya Nandita dies in road accident

Telangana: On Friday morning, A prominent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) politician and Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly G Lasya Nanditha died in a car accident near Patancheru in Sangareddy of Telangana. According to the information, the accident happened on the Sultanpur Outer Ring Road (ORR) in the district’s Aminpur mandal.

Telangana: On Friday morning, A prominent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) politician and Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly G Lasya Nanditha died in a car accident near Patancheru in Sangareddy of Telangana.

According to the information, the accident happened on the Sultanpur Outer Ring Road (ORR) in the district’s Aminpur mandal. 37-year-old Nanditha, was travelling in an SUV when her driver reportedly lost control and collided with the divider, leading to fatal injuries for the MLA. While Lasya died, her PA and the driver were severely injured in the crash.

After receiving information about this incident, Local police and other authorities rushed to the spot. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. The driver was critically injured in the crash and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Born in 1986 in Hyderabad, Lasya Nanditha made her foray into politics around a decade ago. Nanditha embarked on her political journey in 2015, making her debut by running for the position of a board member from Ward 4 in the Cantonment Board Elections.

37-year-old Nanditha served as a councilor in Kavadiguda ward before being elected MLA in the 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly election. G Sayana, her father, previously held the Secunderabad Cantonment MLA seat, but died in early 2023. After his demise, Nandita secured the BRS nomination and won the election.
