Patna/Bihar: In a sudden turn of events, six people died after a truck fell on an SUV in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district on Monday night. The incident occurred in NH 80 near Aamapur village under the limits of Ghogha police station. According to the information, the incident took place when all the people in the Scorpio car were going to attend a wedding ceremony from Munger to Peerpainti.
After leraning about the incident, the police of Ghogha police station reached the spot and started the work of removing the debris using JCB and other resources of the agency constructing NH-80. Among the people rescued from the debris, three were injured, the remaining six had died. A large crowd of people has gathered at the spot. According to the information given by the injured to the local people, the wedding procession was going from Govda in Munger’s Haveli Kharagpur to Khidmatpur in Peerpainti.
Two children are also included in the deceased. Two other Scorpios, which were following the crashed Scorpio, somehow escaped from the highway. Otherwise even more people could have died. It was told that road construction work was going on at the incident site. The road was about three to four feet high on one side, due to which the truck passing on it went out of control and overturned on the wedding procession vehicle.
