New Delhi: Now the country is also going to get the gift of Air Taxi soon. It is reported that the Ministry of Aviation has started working on the Urban Air Mobility Project. However, nothing has been said officially regarding this from the government. It is being said that by 2026, India may get great news in terms of Air Taxi.
According to the report of Times of India, DGCA has formed several technical committees to prepare a roadmap for air taxi flights in the country. After preparing the rules related to e-vertical takeoff and landing i.e. eVTOL, IndiGo’s parent company InterGlobe Infrastructure (IGE) will start work on the infrastructure. IGE is going to work together with American Air Taxi Company Archer Aviation.
Talking to the newspaper, experts in the matter say, ‘DGCA has constituted several panels to collect information on different aspects related to air taxi. These include standards related to air navigation, on which routes air taxis will operate, safety and vertiports. All the work related to air taxi in India will be completed by the year 2026.

According to the report, Air Taxi will be launched in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore by the year 2026. After this this service will start in Chennai and Hyderabad. In a discussion with the newspaper, Archers’ CCO Nikhil Goyal says that the fare of Air Taxi will be slightly more than the cab service Uber.
He said that for example, the fare for Uber from Delhi to Gurgaon is Rs 1500 to Rs 2000. In air taxi, it will be 1.5 percent (per passenger) and it can go from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000. The special thing is that with the help of air taxi, passengers can cover the distance from Delhi to Gurgaon in just 7 minutes. will be able to do.
