Tripura assembly polls :TMC releases manifesto, promises 2 lakh jobs and one thousand allowance to unemployed youth

Tripura assembly polls : The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Sunday released its manifesto for the Tripura Assembly elections to be held next month. The manifesto reflects Trinamool’s governance model in West Bengal with a focus on welfare and social upliftment. Along with this, two lakh jobs and unemployment allowance of one thousand rupees have been promised. Many successful schemes of Bengal have been included in this.

Minister Bratya Basu said that if the TMC comes to power in the state, it will create 50,000 new jobs in the first year itself. He said that all the vacant posts in government departments would be filled on priority basis. He said TMC would give an allowance of Rs 1,000 per month to unemployed youth. The 10,323 retrenched teachers will also get the benefit till the issue is resolved legally.

The party released the manifesto a day ahead of TMC chief and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s visit to Tripura. TMC has fielded candidates on 28 assembly seats in Tripura. Elections will be held on 60 seats in Tripura on February 16.
