Noida: On Saturday, the police said that two people were charred to death after their car caught fire in a society in Sector 119 area of Noida. As soon as the police station at Sector-113, Noida, was alerted, fire officials reached the spot to extinguish the fire.
The police officer further said that the bodies of two were then recovered and sent to the forensic team for identification. According to officials,”The police force, along with senior officials, are present on the spot; the investigation is being done and necessary action is being taken in advance. Efforts are being made to identify the vehicle.”
In the early morning of Saturday, the incident happened in Noida’s Amrapali Platinum. After receiving information, the police reached the spot and recovered the CCTV footage of the incident. The cause of the fire is not known yet and further investigations are underway. Based on CCTV footage, the car reached the society at 6:08 am and caught fire at 6:11 am.
Talking about the incident, Noida Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Shakti Awasthi said that they received information about a white Swift car on fire near Amrapali Platinum Society, Sector 119. The people in the car did not get a chance to escape and they became victims of this tragic accident.
ADCP Shakti Awasthi told media,”Both the victims were declared dead on the spot and their bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.”
