UP: 25-year-old medical student found dead with injury marks on head in college hostel

Kanpur: On Sunday, An official said that a medical student was found dead with severe head injuries in Bithoor. The student identified as Sahil Saraswat from Mathura, was found near the stairs in the morning. He was 25-year-old.

According to the information,the body of the student was found the old boys’ hostel of a private medical college. Saraswat was a second year MBBS student.

Anand Prakash Tiwari, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and order) said,”We found two deep injury marks on Sahil’s head and efforts are on to determine whether the incident is of murder or an accident.”

Mr. Tiwari said, “It has been decided to conduct the post-mortem by a panel of three doctors.” He has also given instructions to ensure that the entire autopsy process is videographed.

He further said that When they reached the hostel, Police Commissioner RK Swarnkar and DCP West Vijay Dhull found Saraswat’s body soaked in blood.
