As the Lok Sabha elections move forward, two lawyers in Uttar Pradesh have made an interesting bet. They’ve each put ₹2 lakhs on their favorite candidates winning in the upcoming phase 3 voting.
One lawyer, Satyendra Pal, is supporting Aditya Yadav from the Samajwadi Party, while the other, Diwakar Verma, is rooting for Digvijay Singh Shakya from the BJP.
They’ve made a formal agreement, and four people have signed as witnesses. The deal is, whoever’s candidate loses will have to pay ₹2 lakhs to the other lawyer.
