Uttarakhand: On Tuesday morning, a major accident happened in Haridwar of Uttarakhand. A wall of a brick kiln located on Majra Marg in Lahboli village of the district suddenly collapsed. Six people died in this incident. While two people were seriously injured in the accident.
According to the information, This incident happened around 7 am today. After the information about this incident, police and administrative officers including senior superintendent of police (SSP) Pramendra Dobhal rushed to the spot to oversee the rescue operations. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
Giving details about this incident, the district police PRO said,“We received information at around 8.30 am that the wall of a brick kiln had collapsed in Lahboli village under Manglaur police station. At least six people have been confirmed dead, while several others have sustained injuries. They have been rushed to a hospital. SSP Pramendra Dobhal is at the spot.”
He added that the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. According to the information, this accident took place in a brick kiln named Shanvi Bricks Field located in Lahboli village. Where eight laborers were baking their hands by lighting a fire. But a raw brick wall standing near them suddenly fell down.
Due to this, all the laborers and some animals of the bricklayers were buried under the rubble of the wall. At least six laborers had lost their lives in this incident. While the condition of the remaining two is also quite serious and admitted to the hospital.
