Uttarakhand:Mana of Uttarakhand has now become not the last but the first village in the country.The Border Roads Organization has put up a signboard saying ‘India’s first village Mana’ at the entry of Mana village in Uttarakhand, adjacent to the Line of Actual Control.Earlier there was a signboard of the last village of the country. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave this information by tweeting.He said, ‘Mana will no longer be known as the ‘first village’ of the country.
In October last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the border village Mana as the first village of the country and our government is always dedicated to the all-round development of the border areas.
In a program organized in Mana on October 21, 2022, Prime Minister Modi had stamped the Chief Minister calling Mana the first village of the country instead of the last village of India and said that now even for him every village situated on the borders is the first village of the country.Only He had said,Earlier, the areas which were ignored as the end of the borders of the country, we started from there as the beginning of the prosperity of the country.People come to Mana, digital technology is being used here.Mana village is situated near Badrinath and devotees going for Badrinath darshan travel till Mana village for tourism.Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the third decade of 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand.
Some key points:
1.The Chief Minister said that the Vibrant Village Action Plans have been prepared by the district administration in collaboration with the gram panchayats.This will give wings to the possibilities of development here along with crops including herbs, apples, kidney beans, products of these areas.
2.This scheme will be helpful in preventing migration from border areas and the residents of border areas will also be able to participate in the security of the country.
3.It is known that Mana village situated in Chamoli district at an altitude of 3200 meters in Uttarakhand is situated on the banks of Saraswati river.The famous Hindu pilgrimage site Badrinath is about 5 km away from here.
4.Mana village is very famous for the herbs found here. Eating the herbs here gives benefits in many diseases.All the herbs found here are beneficial for the health of the person.
