Viral clip shows two masked men near the car, a BMW X5 sedan that costs over a crore. One person is seen waiting on a two-wheeler, while another breaks the driver’s side of window of the car and enters inside the car. He can be seen pulling out a yellow packet from which is said to have had cash. Interestingly, the incident took place in broad daylight.

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident of broad daylight theft in Bengaluru, two bike-riding men broke the window of a parked BMW car and allegedly ran away with Rs 13.75 lakh in cash on Friday afternoon. The robbery incident was captured in CCTV camera and this video is now going viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place near the sub-registrar office in Sompura, Sarjapur. Police have said investigation is on and no arrests have been made yet.

As per report, the luxury SUV car belonged to Mohan Babu, a resident of Anekal’s Kasaba, who had acquired the money. The amount included Rs 5 lakh that Babu took from a friend to register a plot of land in Muthagatti village.

Babu and his relative Ramesh parked the car near a Girias outlet close to the sub-registrar’s office around 1.30 pm. On returning at 2.30 pm, Babu found the car’s window shattered and the cash missing. He reported the incident at the Sarjapura police station. The police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code sections 379 (theft) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees). Probe into the matter is underway.
