A tragic incident unfolded at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, as panic gripped the campus when the body of a woman was discovered in a water tank at the staff quarters building. Initial investigations suggest foul play, with police suspecting the involvement of the woman’s husband and mother-in-law, who are currently on the run.
According to reports, the deceased woman resided at the university with her husband and mother-in-law. There were frequent arguments between the couple, as per accounts from local residents, and a heated altercation occurred on the night before the woman’s body was found. Police suspect that the dispute escalated into a fatal outcome.
The woman’s husband, employed at a nearby hospital, is being pursued by authorities along with his mother. Following a complaint from the woman’s family, a case has been registered, and efforts are underway to locate the suspects.
Upon receiving news of the grim discovery, senior police officials promptly arrived at the scene to conduct investigations and retrieve the body. Senior officer Shivhari Meena confirmed that the body has been sent for autopsy, and reassured that all necessary measures are being taken to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“We have initiated a thorough investigation and are determined to unravel the truth behind this tragic incident,” stated Officer Meena.
