Bengaluru: A 120-foot-high temple chariot collapsed on Saturday during a religious rally near Anekal in Bengaluru (Rural). The chariot fell down and heavy dust spread over the area, indicating the intensity of the fall. The incident unfolded when thousands of devotees were attending the annual fair of the temple of Huskur Madduramma. The crowd was able to move away from the spot on time resulting in no injuries or fatality in the incident.

The chariot was constructed for the annual Huskur Madduramma temple fair in Anekal.

A total of four chariots were being transported to the town using a combination of bulls and tractors when one of them started to tilt to one side.

The videos capturing the incident, showed that the chariot was being pulled by bulls and collapsed.

It caused a cloud of dust and agitated some of the animals, while people were observed running to safety.

This fair in Anekal is visited by thousands of devotees every year and these chariots are one of the main attractions of the event.

The viral video shows the decorated structure, pulled by bulls, collapsing. It narrowly misses a large electric pole and kicks up dust, making some animals uneasy. Devotees were trying to raise the chariot using ropes tied to all sides when it lost balance and fell to the ground. Spectators can be seen running to safety in the footage.

The chariot was created for the Huskur Madduramma temple fair, an annual event. Every year, thousands of people come to Anekal for the festival, where the chariots are a big draw.
