A heart-stopping incident unfolded in Karnataka as a two-year-old boy was successfully rescued from a 16-feet deep borewell after an arduous 18-hour-long operation. The child had accidentally fallen into the borewell while playing near his house in Lachayan village.
2-Year-Old Rescued From 16-Feet Deep Borewell After 18 Hours. Rescue efforts commenced around 6:30 pm on Wednesday evening, triggered by the distressing incident. It is reported that the child fell into the borewell headfirst, prompting immediate action after his cries were heard by someone nearby.
Authorities deployed an excavator to dig a pit approximately 21-feet deep parallel to the borewell, facilitating the rescue operation. Despite the intense efforts, the current condition of the child remains unknown.
To ensure the child’s well-being, a medical team equipped with oxygen and emergency first aid medications, including injections, is stationed at the scene. Additionally, an ambulance stands ready for swift transportation to the hospital in Indi as soon as the child is rescued.
